Thanks top there is a 7 inch filter sock that has a ziptie on the top and I have it tightly wrapped around my drain pipe behind the skimmer- is a tight fit in that chamber originally had a turboflotor skimmer that was plumbed out of sump in a wood box I built off the back of the stand but switched to the Bermuda so had to go with the new sock for clearance.

Yes AWI I am in fact the bomb specialist LMAO The pics were actually taken when I was switching over from the 3 powers trips to the RKL. The power strips were mounted where the RKL PC4's are--across the back of the stand-- and I was using Marineland individual timers for each timed item. When the pics were taken was when it was at its absolute worst, BUT it was bad. And thanks for the compliments on the pics.:biggrin:

hey what are your calcium levels.. i noticed that you dont have alot of coraline? and your back glass is spotless..lol but man the frags a really nice..good choices!

Cal was 420 2 days ago- did a w/c last night and have to test to see what the levels are tonight. Mike the tank has onlybeen going since December- a lot of people that I see with crazy coralline early in the game use purple up or other products or raise their cal really high just to get the purple look. I keep my levels at a nice acceptable range and dont sweat if I have coralline encrusting everything- itll happen naturally- I am a patient person. lol I havent had any disasters or major problems as of yet so I'll continue to keep my levels in the range that I have and when coralline comes it comes- without the use of purple up. My back glass is spotless because of certain product- perhaps youve heard of them--mag-floats? LMAO

Thanks for the compliments on the frags. Also what coralline I do have Mike seems to mostly be on the overflow chamber just cant see all of it due to aquascaping blocking the view.

u mangnafloat you back glass? wow good for you lol im nt in anyway that motivated lol.. i was just wondering abt the cal. lvls bc your corals looked great but not alot of coraline.. i wasnt expecting you tank to be encrusted in it but def thought id be seeing patches of some red or green.. but itll get there...nome people get somall rubble thats completely encrusted and use that to seed the tank a lil bit..it was just an observation..

LOL I know is all good I wanted more in the beginning to until I realized that sometimes people used purple up for that reason and I just would rather wait and plot the GPS coordinates of every new coralline spot LMAO. When it comes it comes- I didnt in anyway think you were stating anything but an observation is all good man. Yeah I mag float the back- ask russ he knows how anal I really am hehe.
Said what I said more for the reason as a total new reefer wanders why theyre tank doesnt grow it to look like matured systems on here in a months time they will know theyre not the only ones that had to wait like everybody else with a 7 year old tank did.

lol.. my rocks are already getting their colors back.. my cal is around 430ish.. im actually surprised at the speed at which the tank went thru its cycle or lack there of..
