Got some work in today. First off I installed a GFCI outlet for the tank. Don't want any fires...

Next built my top off float switch holder. Same one I have on the 30g. Works good.
Installed it in the sump.

Bought the frostner bit so that I can attach my stand doors. Got the 2 sumps doors installed. Tomorrow I will put on the cabinet doors. Gotta buy some long screws for that side.

Got my overflow sealed on. Had to you some bond to hold it in place. Once the bond dried, I put silicone on the inside to seal and support it. Came out good...leak test passed.

Put the back pane
l on the cabinet and the shelf floor. Also the door magnets and handles....The entire stand was sprayed down with clear polyurethane. Bought a 18" led light for under the stand...looks good.

Awsome just curious how did u come to the point that u knew how to build this tank from scratch?

Sent from my iPhone using Reefs
Not all that hard. DIY/Creative thinking. I basically took all that I have read, witnessed and used that to plan out the build. The positives and negatives. I want it simple but highly effective and efficient. Nothing to it but to do it. As you can see I'm taking my sweet time with it. Constantly looking at it to see if I could improve it in anyway. I cant think of anything else to do so I guess its time for water. lol

400w vho's are bright as hell. Might have to use 20k's to keep that blue look. Cant see the actinics when the halides are on.
