I got a midas blenny as well. I don't think the rim will be much help. I've heard stories where they jump through the tiniest of holes anyway. It's pretty much a gamble unless you have a lid on it.

so now that you have one do you feel it is a little, or alot better then the tek ?

i only got to experience the light for 2 hours and i must say, it's a bit brighter to the eye and the corals seems to pop more under actinics. only downside is that it doesn't have switches to control the lights. but i'm pretty happy with the purchase. and it's also hung a few inches higher than the tek, just to acclimate them to the newer light. PAR will definitely be higher once I move it down.
