Besides Custom king who else can locally build an acrylic sump?

I know if i want glass I can go to world call aquarium on Flatbush ave in Brooklyn. I would have to listen to their 1980's opinion first but hopefully after they understand I would like to use a skimmer on a reef tank they will agree to build a sump that houses one.

I really want acrylic though...

So here's the sump design. Let me know your thoughts. I will be doing a Bean Animal drain so one line will have allot of flow and one will be slower. I setup the sump with the fast line going through the skimmer section and the slow line going through the fuge.

I should be getting my sump tomorrow so hopefully i'll be bale to get some water in this thing this week for a fresh RODI water test. If it runs well i'll leave it for a few days and then just add salt to it. I should be getting 125 lb of Pulkani rock from BRS. I am not sure if it will be enough. Here are some pics of the finished stand and what I did for the return and drain plumbing.

I got the sump today this thing is huge! I was originally going to run my skimmer externally along with all of the reactors. I am a little tight on space and I never liked the idea of having the skimmer outside the sump. That being said I had the sump drilled with two bulkheads. I am thinking I get another refugium and just have that extra bulkhead drain to the fuge and have a small submersible return pump return the water. Basically I am adding another tank! Once that done eventually I would love to plumb in a frag tank. Here are some pics.

Adam, Very nice build! One thing to keep in mind, the titanium screw on your skimmer pump might get rusty, you might want to consider running external. I have the XRO SSS 3000 model, it runs awsome but my screw had some rust already after running half year, and they had to send me replacement impeller cap and screw.

The sump is 100 gallons. I decided on having the skimmer externally and keeping the sump as a fuge like it was designed. I am running my reeflo barracuda gold totally open and not getting as strong of a flow like I thought. It does have 15 feet of head pressure and splits into 4. I shut down one of the Wavemaker outputs I think I will shut down another one to just have it split to two. I am going to put tunze pumps on the other wavemakers. Anyway the tank is running freshwater now. I had a few major leaks that I fixed now i have some minor drips by some pvc connections. I am going to try to just put a ton of glue on those areas and hope it fixes the problems. I don't want to have to cut those sections out and replace. They are very slow slow drips. I spent very little time getting the Bean Animal overflow adjusted and i must say it's really good, It's dead silent. I am impressed. there is a really loud hum from the return pump does anyone have pointers on silencing that thing? Here's a picture of the wet tank.

I have bee following this thread from day 1, I am impressed, you are doing everything right so far. But please don't just add glue to the dripping connections, It will cost you a couple of bucks to fix it the right way, instaed of waking up one morning with an empty tank.

Your right, you convinced me to not be lazy! I am exhausted though. A sump in the basement in great but up and down the steps 75 times a day it tiring. Some people on here know me personally, I am overweight I guess this can help! lol
