I found some much needed motivation today after working on a 600g build all day that I needed to finish my own build.

First the motivation shots:

Now my (not so big/impressive) build:

Ha, I don't even have water in the tank yet and already stocking up on fish. So far I have an ornate leopard wrasse, hi-fin perchlet, and a golden angelfish almost done QT. New addition today is a multiband butterflyfish (Chaetodon multicinctus).

How do you folks with tops get your wires out of the tank? I am debating what wavemakers to get and if I go with gyre or jebao will be stuck with wires and want to use a screen top. Also if I do go with mp's I will need the wireless version if I plan on two right? (Anyone selling mp10's?)
What I did is made my screen top 1/4" shorter than it needed to be to allow the screen top to fit nicely and wires to come through, but not big enough for a fish to jump out...

following I am about to make a top and am trying to figure this out as well. I was thinking of dremeling out small notches that fit the wire snugly. Possibly reinforcing somehow so the frame does not warp.

Little update I hope (fingers crossed no leaks) to get this up by next weekend. I have on mp10 on the way and working on a deal for another. Just grabbed 40lbs of CaribSea special grade sand, 40lbs of CaribSea Life Rock and 20lbs of CaribSea Life Rock Branch. I am debating between an ARID with the calcium reactor option (I have a calcium reactor but have never used one) or a sulfur denitrifier with ARM reactor. My 6 bulb Tek light is finally here and just need to remove the legs and get it hung and picked up a Kessil a150 for the sump which I will use as a frag tank.
