My old solana. deltec mce 600, phosban reactor, manually dosing b-ionic, tunze osmalator top off. I did 2 water changes per month. Very simple but water quality was pristine from the start.

I'm excited to get this tank up and running.

There have to be other people still running a Solana... It would be cool if you have Solana specific tips and tricks to post them here.

I did two because one gave me so many dead spots. Both the corners ended up being extremely dark. It took me 5 months but now I run my lights at

BLUE - 100
ROYAL - 80
WHITE - 40

I have just about everything in the tank: torches, blasto, acan, zoos, sps, chalices, etc and have no problems finding the right light for each piece. All my coral starts at the bottom of the tank though and the lights are exactly 12 inches above the water line.

I added a Reef Brite strip this weekend, and it really makes the colors pop when the T5s are off. Minor improvement with all four T5s on.

I really like it overall, though.
