Man, you guys are scaring me with all this talk of breaking the bottom glass.
I've been doing bare bottom with just the rocks on top of the glass for years. Do you guys think that I'm going to have a problem with the glass breaking ?

There's NEVER a problem... till THERE"S a PROBLEM
or, do you prefer
Better SAFE than SORRY!

use 1/4" clear acrylic to line the bottom of your tank, it's see thru, reef safe and will protect the glass. if you have a plastics manufacturer near you they often sell scraps by the square foot.
:scratchch I believe, that you should 'seal' it so that no water is trapped under the plexi

How often do you hear if someone has the bottom of glass broken? If you go to any LFS, do you see they use anything at the bottom of the tank to support the rocks? I think you just worry too much. You'll be fine. You have a nice build there.:spin:
