yea that would work also. that is what i used when i started my tank. the only place i could find was places online. for your tank dimensions you may need a few pieces and it would have to be custom cut by the place you order it from

you might be able to use the white cutting boards. I think if they are made of polyprylene they are reef safe..

I would go with some sand its gonna look more natural then barebottom . foam its just a bad idea. eggcrate + sand to cover it that might work

Bed bath and beyond sells the poly cutting boards. A saber saw or a cheaper hand coping saw will cut them to shape.

I've been doing bare bottom with just the rocks on top of the glass for years. Do you guys think that I'm going to have a problem with the glass breaking ?

use 1/4" clear acrylic to line the bottom of your tank, it's see thru, reef safe and will protect the glass. if you have a plastics manufacturer near you they often sell scraps by the square foot.

How often do you hear if someone has the bottom of glass broken? If you go to any LFS, do you see they use anything at the bottom of the tank to support the rocks? I think you just worry too much. You'll be fine. You have a nice build there.:spin:
