How did you discover MR?

last January I started surfing the web because I wanted to get into the reef tank hobby. MR popped up in my search and I now have a 210 gal reef up and running. Thank you MR for being such a spectacular place for all of us.

i was at questionmarc crib buying my first frag pack and while we were having a convo he said u need get on the site and read more about the hobby ill learn more that way and here i am not few years later lol

Google!! I found MR when researching converting from fresh water. MR won out over RC.

While I was searching for live rocks on Craigslist I came across this post that from a guy in Brooklyn selling a lot of it for 2lbs (for me it was a tremendous deal since I was used to see them go for 7-13 dollars a pound in the pet shops)
When I bought it he asked me if I had a account on MR and I didn't have no clue what MR was until I got in and I finally saw "Reef heaven". And ever since I been hooked up to this site

I was at fishtown one day and was first getting into the hobby and was looking around not knowing anything about the hobby and overheard two guys talking about a specific saltwater fish. Then one asked the other if he was on mr and traded usernames. It intrigued me how members were so interested in meeting each other. The same gentleman introduced himself to me as well and spoke highly of mr and that it was a good site to learn everything about the hobby. And then here I am.

In 2007 I met some crazy lady in a LFS out here on the island and she told me about the site I wish I could remember that crazy ladies name LMAO. Reefs4life I haven't heard that name in a loooooong time.

I was referred here from reefcentral by Jim (HouseofLaughter) and an RC member that I can't remember the name of ....Something Giovani??? When I first joined here in 2003 there was only a little more than 300 members. Sometimes there would only be a few posts per day Things have changed quite a bit since then.

Giovanni! I think he is living in London now. He posted a crazy new tank on RC a couple of years back. He really knew his SPS but lost everything during the blackout.
