finally I'm up and running it's cycling time people.. tank been up afew days now skimmer seems to be breaking in nicely also added a peace of shrimp to get it started. Thank to Ken for the filter sock help me polish the water still waiting on some extra equipment to complete my system once done I'll give a full review but for now here a few pic enjoy...:bagfish:

Looks great. Is that a george fischer WYE?
I was going to use one because I thought my return line was going to be lower then my durso but it turns out I am ok.

Yes it is like I told u before my pump hads a 1" out with 1" to 3/4" adapter and I had no ill effects as far as pressure ...

Looking good man! I was gonna suggest you thro the shrimp in the filter sock also. Plus you shouldn't run your skimmer or lights while cycling . The lights will give you premature algae growth and there's really nothing the skimmer can pull out yet except maybe some benifical bacteria

+1 I also said many times I think the best way of getting a quick and effective cycle is to get one of your fish buddies to give you an ounce of 2 of their really nasty skimate from their skimmer. Perfect to start a cycle. The naister the better

Thank man I just had the lights on for the pic as far as the skimmer go I was just breaking it in know know how that goes...lol

will i mod the sump by remove the baffle on the first chamber to make room for the skimmer im still think of replace with i custom acrylic sump but tell then i just live with it..
